On September 14, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akbar Tashkulov met with H.E. Hasan Hamza Asad Mohammed Hashim, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar in the fields of justice and law.
It was noted that legal cooperation between the two countries has been developing consistently on the basis of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Legal Field between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the State of Qatar, signed in 2010.
Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov put forward proposals to develop international arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, as well as to expand cooperation in legal education and scientific and academic fields.
At the same time, Akbar Tashkulov invited the Minister of Justice of the State of Qatar and Ambassador Hasan Hamza Asad Mohammed Hashim to participate in the 5th “Tashkent Law Spring” International Legal Forum, to be held in Tashkent in 2027.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of justice and law.
